I created this Google Doodle concept to be shown on February 20th to commemorate the discovery of comet 122P/de Vico by Francesco de Vico. After the comets discovery in 1846, astronomers lost sight of it and it was nearly forgotten about. It did not re-orbit again until seventy-four years later.
