This logo concept for a class project represents the excitement of fans coming from Portland, the state, and across the US to attend a Sea Dogs game. Their enthusiasm is explosive, exemplified by their elaborate firework displays. On the last home game of the year the Sea Dogs hold a “Field of Dreams” day. They dress in uniforms that mimic those of the Portland Eskimos of 1926–the team that first returned baseball to Maine after a seven year gap. In 1949, baseball left Maine again. This time it remained absent for 45 years until Hadlock “Field of Dreams” was built in 1994, home to the Sea Dogs ever since.
